Some seem to believe that we should negotiate with the terrorists and radicals, as if some ingenious argument will persuade them they have been wrong all along. We have heard this foolish delusion before. As Nazi tanks crossed into Poland in 1939, an American senator declared: ‘Lord, if I could only have talked to Hitler, all this might have been avoided.’ We have an obligation to call this what it is — the false comfort of appeasement, which has been repeatedly discredited by history. We didn't think so. The American Senator, besides being alive in 1939 (we believe Obama was born in 1961), was an isolationist Republican from Idaho.
Obama's response is, btw, the definition of narcissism.
But hey, if the shoe fits.

Narcissism indeed (one of Obama's most obvious traits). The fact that he and his supporters immediately assumed this was a jab at him was, I thought, hilarious. Guilty conscience, anyone? A little defensive?
Obama made some stupid statements early on that demonstrated his massive foreign policy naivete. He should have reversed them immediately. Not he has no choice but to dishonestly spin his original statements and attack Bush to take attention off himself, which is what his foreign policy adviser did on Blitzer last night.
I have no choice but to agree with Jake 100% on this one. I think it's just another example of (1) Obama's enormous narcissism (would you be any different if you had a cult, and I do mean cult, following you around?) and (2) the fact that he is just another politician, despite his believers thinking he is the Second Coming.
This may have also been a thinly veiled jab at the Jimmy Carter.
You cannot be serious here...
